Any collection that kicks off with Nikki Lane channeling Wanda Jackson is worth having by definition. The rest is just fine, too, especially Seratones' apocalyptic take on State Trooper. New West clearly curated this collection with care.

I can honestly say I've been waiting on this record since "Heart Burns", something that still gets regular rotation over a decade after its release. The context is different and it's from Laura, not Tom but this is the form of her music at it's best, at least for me. Raw, with that voice up front and center and the simple acoustic instrumentation lends the music to be digested in a very impactful way without too much effort from the listener. Thank you for making this record.
